"Gladstone Phantom appeared to me in a dream one morning and, to my surprise, stayed for breakfast. He was nothing like I had ever seen before; he had the head of a hare and the body of an Arctic Hare. And the clothes of a human. Over the next few years, Gladstone turned up for breakfast on six occasions in total, each time bringing the food with him and usually an excellent choice of sunrise too. It was my wish that, when I died, my children, and their children, would always set a place at the table for Gladstone Phantom, just in case. As far as I can be aware of these things, they have honoured that wish."
